Clark

A Union County township conveniently located in North Central New
Jersey; Clark offers suburban living at its best. The township was
named for Abraham Clark a signer of the Declaration of Independence.
In recent years the Township is experiencing the renovation and new
construction of many residential and commercial properties, the newly
constructed Clark Commons Shopping center for example.

Other examples are the addition of the Hyatt Hills Golf Complex, and the
conversion of Oak Ridge Park into a huge Recreational area,
supporting sports minded activities and holding festivals and
open-air concerts. Others include the former Esposito Farm property
now converted to and known as Esposito Park.

Other recreational activities include fishing, which can be found at the
Clark Reservoir and Jacksons Pond. Clark also offers its residents a
community Pool. The Historic William Robinson house offers both
holiday and other interesting events throughout the year.

The Clark public school district serves students in pre-kindergarten
through twelve grades. The public schools include two elementary
schools, a middle school, and a high school. There are also two
Parochial schools. Other schools available nearby are the Union
County Magnet High School, Academy for Science, Mathematics and
Engineering Technologies, the Academy for Allied Heath Science, and
the Union County Technical High School.

The Clark Library recently underwent a significant renovation and
expansion project. The library space increased from 10,000 sq ft to
20,000 sq ft, adding a state-of-the-art computer training lab, public
meeting and study rooms, increased stacks for books and DVD’s, a
café, and a teen area.

New Jersey Transit also provides bus service to New York City and points
in-between, with service to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in
Midtown Manhattan. Rail services are available in adjacent towns as
well. Newark International Airport is approximately 11 miles from
Clark. Major highways such at the Garden State Parkway, and US Route
1 are in close proximity to Clark.
